When people talk about "human rights" what they really mean to say is that they're talking about "opinions." Everyone has an opinion about how someone else should be treated; one man's trash is another man's hooker and such. So why is it people are always arguing about opinion? If I see someone being beaten in the street for being no different than I, why shouldn't I abscond with their wallet as I pass by, a wallet which has neatly fallen from their trousers and flung out of the dust of the throng of fists and blows pummeling their face by numerous thugs? People are clearly confusing human rights with MY rights. I don't really give a fuck about anyone else's rights, I only care about my own and my own ends to maintain them. Everyone else can basically fuck off. People don't have a right to eat, sleep, be paid, marry, or whatever. There is another perspective on the attainment and preservation of human rights, however; the perspective that they are taken, not given; and sometimes at the point of a blade. If you are the imperious overloads, it is far easier...if you are not, not so much.
